Welcome to our Club
Welcome to our Club. You can find a new family here – one that will delight and inspire you.
We are guided by our motto, Service above Self. In our club, you’ll meet new friends, as you become involved in a committee, volunteer for one of our many projects, enjoy a social event and gather weekly for our meetings. You’ll learn more about our community and yourself through your involvement with Rotary. We are also united through an international organization, which means wherever you are in the world, you’ll find the familiarity of fellow Rotarians.
As a new Rotarian, you can be joining people across the world who believe in our Four Way Test:
- Is it the truth?
- Is it fair to all concerned?
- Will it build goodwill and better friendships?
- Will it be beneficial to all concerned?
Our club offers many opportunities for service. Right now, our members are volunteering to help Lane County with COVID vaccinations. When we could gather, others built Contestogas around the community. We’ve been the force that brought many of our community’s best features to life, like Riverplay, the Cuthbert Amphitheater, WJ Skatepark and Skinner Butte Park, which we still maintain,. Members saw a need for art education in schools and launched ArtSpark, an annual funding raiser. We are raising funds to repair water wells in rural Uganda. And those are just a few of the things that I could mention.
Take time to explore our website, it’s a wealth of information and will give you insights into the many ways we serve our community locally and world-wide. Then, get involved. Feel free to reach out to any member to ask questions, volunteer or just make a new friend.
Take time to attend our meetings every week. We have amazing presentations that provide insights into all aspects of our community, state, nation and world. Plus, it’s fun to connect, even when we are doing it remotely.
In just two years, our club will celebrate its 100th anniversary. What an achievement. I believe it’s a testament to lifelong friendships and relationships that are so much a part of our Rotary. Enjoy a new family and the camaraderie you’ll find here.
Welcome to Rotary
The World Needs Rotarians!
I joined Rotary to give back to the community. What I’ve received back in professional and personal growth and relationships with fellow Rotarians has been invaluable. My only regret is not joining Rotary earlier.
Liz Ness –Rotary Club of Eugene President
The Rotary Club of Eugene was established in March 1923 and has been the preeminent service club in Eugene for soon to be 100 years. We strive to be the vehicle for fostering fellowship, leadership, and service that benefits our members, our community and our international partners.
Service above Self
Through service projects and club events, members connect with each other to make bold, sustainable improvements in the lives of others locally and internationally
Rotary provides a friendly atmosphere and outstanding programs that inform about current, critical issues for our city, region, state and global communities.
Rotarians enjoy occasional diversions from demanding professional and personal schedules to sample international cuisine, hike in the mountains, attend semipro baseball games, tour local wineries and more.
We have a few different membership categories depending on age, the number of years involved in Rotary, and individual vs. corporate status. Find what works best for you!
